The Creativity Institute Return Policy
At The Creativity Institute, we take great steps to provide the highest in customer service.
Because of the cost and difficulty of rerouting shipped orders, orders cannot be cancelled once placed. Once an order has been placed, please refer to our Return and Replacement Policies. We are always accessible to discuss order status by phone at 888-814-TOYS, or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If an item arrives damaged or defective, or if the wrong item is received, please notify us by phone at 888-814-TOYS, or email at email@example.com and it will be replaced immediately at no additional cost. If the damaged part is easily replaceable, such as one of a set of blocks or an easel tray, a replacement will be shipped immediately.
You may return most items within 30 days for a refund of the purchase price less original and return shipping and applicable restocking fees. SOME MANUFACTURERS DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS OR REQUIRE A QUICKER NOTICE FOR RETURNS, BUT THIS WILL BE NOTED IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS.
Returns for items that initially had shipping included in the purchase price cannot have charges we've paid to the shipping carrier refunded. If the return is due to error of The Creativity Institute, the cost of any shipping will be refunded.
Manufacturer restocking fees for returns vary by manufacturer and are generally 15-30% of the purchase price. Exceptions to his percentage are products shipped directly from Kid’s Adventure, who charges a flat $20 restocking fee per item. Exchanges for a different product from the same manufacturer will usually have the restocking fee waived. Drop ship fees paid to manufacturers cannot be refunded.

We can only accept items for return or exchange that are in original, resalable condition. Any item returned washed, used, or stained is not eligible for refund. Please include all parts, packaging, and enclosures with your return. All refunds will issued back to your credit card.
DO NOT RETURN ITEMS DIRECTLY TO THE CREATIVITY INSTITUTE, AS YOU MAY BE REQUESTED TO SEND THEM DIRECTLY TO THE MANUFACTURER WHO SHIPPED IT. Some returned merchandise may require by a Return Authorization (RA) number. In most cases, call tags will be sent to you to make return shipping easier.
CLOSEOUTS AND CUSTOM ORDERS MAY NOT BE RETURNABLE.
Please note: As is universal retail policy: "Opened" CDs, Cassettes, and Videos may not be returned. Of course, faulty videos or CDs will be replaced.
UNDELIVERABLE ADDRESSES that result in the product being returned to the shipping origin will be handled the same as returns and have the necessary fees deducted from any returned amounts.
If an incorrect zip code is provided, the delivery service may impose a shipping penalty of approximately $11. When this happens as a result of incorrect information provided by the customer, the penalty fee will be charged to the buyer's account.
Refusal of a shipped and confirmed order may be liable for a restocking fee of up to 25% of the original purchase price and shipping charges. Credits for returns received in worn condition or outside of original packaging are
subject to the discretion of The Creativity Institute and the original manufacturer.

Shipping/handling and return shipping may not be refundable. Returns that initially qualified for free shipping cannot refund the shipping charges that were paid to the carrier.
If you are returning a gift, please let us know if you would like store credit or a refund to the credit card of the original purchaser.
Understandably, "free" gifts with purchase may not be returned for credit.
The Creativity Institute is not responsible for delays caused by extreme weather conditions or acts of nature.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS International shipments are non-returnable.
The Creativity Institute’s Return and Damage Replacement Policies only apply to the first leg of a shipment. If your package is being re-shipped to a second location, such as through an international freight forwarder, please have it checked before reshipping as we are not responsible for the condition when it arrives at the final destination.
