Built of solid maple and one-half inch birch plywood, the Schoenhut Daycare Durable Toy Piano is crafted entirely by hand and built to endure active play. With a keyboard almost half the size of that on an adult piano, this toy piano's three-octave span allows plenty of room for playing with both hands. Chromatically tuned, the Schoenhut Daycare Durable Toy Piano's chime-like notes are produced by little hammers striking precision-ground, German steel music rods (versus the conventional taut wires used in full-sized models.) Schoenhut's patented Learning System, with its play-by-color teaching method, makes playing simple and fun - even on a toy piano.
