Here's a Maple Landmark NameTrain that The Creativity Institute has put together as a Valentines Day Special. From its red and black engine to the little red caboose, it's sure to delight any little engineer.
This 14-piece NameTrain wooden train set includes a circle of eight pieces of curved track and six NameTrain cars specially selected for Valentines Day. There's the NameTrain Classic Engine, a car carrying a big red heart, Teddy Bear car, red Lizzie the Ladybug car, a red fire engine car and a little red caboose.
The NameTrains collection is Maple Landmarks most popular line. These 2-1/4" high, magnetic wooden cars fit on Maple Landmark's NameTrain track, as well as the wood track of Brio(c) and Thomas the Tank(c), along with many other companies. Cars attach with magnets and can be assembled in any combination. Maple Landmark's NameTrains are great for hours of creative pretend play. Maple Landmark NameTrains make a great gift for a toddler, boy or girl. They even make great adult gifts for train fans and party favors!
The hard rock maple NameTrain track is grooved on one side with stripe detailing simulating railroad ties. Expansion sets are available to keep the layout growing.
Maple Landmark's NameTrain cars are recommended for ages 3 and over. If purchasing for younger ages, they should be used for decoration only, until the child is older.
Compatibility note: Maple Landmarks wooden track and cars are compatible with older Maple Landmark NameTrain cars and are also compatible with other wooden track systems such as Brio and Thomas the Tank and other wooden track systems. Howe'ver, due to different processes and design goals, parts from other companies can vary somewhat. Therefore, the parts should connect fine, but they may not be perfectly interchangeable. If you are intending to match these with name train cars you already have, please be advised that Maple Landmark produced a previous line of natural letters that were larger than these. The two lines will connect with each other but they don't match well. The older line was about 3" high and was sold from 1988 to 2000. The current line, standing about 2-1/4" high, has been produced since 1993.
