Due to the popularity of our original adaptations of Aesop's Fables stories for the puppet stage, The Creativity Institute writers have developed new original "Gwynn's Fables" puppet show scripts in a similar style, with animal puppets communicating clear, simple lessons to children.
This puppet show script is a child-friendly story. There is no violence and no one gets eaten.
It should be noted that there are many, often contradictory, theories of how to prepare children to handle bullying. The biggest variable is the individuals involved. While none of these textbook techniques will work on some of the most hard-core bullies, the objective is to reduce the incidence of bullying by raising the awareness that it is unacceptable behavior. These are just three examples of those techniques.
"It's Not Tattling" explains how reporting bullying to an adult is not tattling, because the goal is to keep everyone safe. Four parts. 2 1/2 to 3 minutes.
Also included with this puppet show script is a set of puppet show stage directions that The Creativity Institute put together to help parents and children stage more professional and enjoyable puppet shows, such as tips on moving mouths (almost everybody does it backwards), simulating walking, etc.
