Puppet Show Script - Aesop's Fables "The Hare and the Tortoise"

Here's a puppet show script that's ready for children to perform. This puppet show script is based on the Aesop's Fables story of "The Hare and the Tortoise." This puppet show script is adapted especially for the puppet stage by The Creativity Institute founders, who are veteran career advertising writers and parents. The "moral of the story" of the fable is clearly brought out in this contemporary, original, humorous adaptation.

The script has two speaking roles, a Hare and a Tortoise, which could be male or female. If you have additional actors and puppets available, let them use other puppets to portray onlookers.  They can enter with the tortoise when the hare is boasting of his speed and then react to the comments of both the hare and the tortoise.  They could also re-enter at the end of the race to cheer.     Puppet show length is approximately 2 1/2 - 3 minutes.
